Is success an Illusion?

"Imagine a world where success is defined by compassion, resilience, and the warmth we bring to others, wouldn't that be worth striving for?"

Who am I? Sitting here, lost in thought, I wonder: Who am I? Why do I feel guilty for taking a break—from work, from overthinking? Why can’t we live guilt-free? Why do we feel we must always be on our toes?
Is it wrong to rest, to appreciate where we are? Is it a sin to enjoy life instead of focusing solely on success? And what even is success? Has it come to mean only material metrics?
Isn’t it success if I’ve grown to be a compassionate, independent person with a kind heart? Will that ever be valued? Or will I only be seen as successful if I have six figures in my bank account, a lavish house, and a stable job? Were we born just to run in a rat race, staying trapped in a loop since high school?
Wouldn’t I still be valuable if I offered you a kind smile, a helping hand, or just simple warmth as a stranger in a crowd? What is success, really? Are we so weighed down by societal norms and false expectations that we lose sight of the beauty and uniqueness within ourselves?
Imagine if we lived in a world where joy, kindness, and connection mattered just as much as career milestones or possessions. A world where every small act of humanity counts as a step toward success.
