One day, as I was making my chai, I found myself impatient. I had work to do, and I kept thinking, I hope it gets ready fast. So, I stood there, watching it, turning the gas to full in an attempt to speed up the process. But somehow, my chai refused to cooperate, it just wasn’t getting ready.

Frustrated, I decided to let it be. I lowered the flame, walked away, and got back to work. And then, about ten minutes later, the familiar, comforting aroma of chai filled the air, and It was ready.

That’s when it hit me, I had been standing there for ten minutes, forcing it to happen, yet nothing changed. But the moment I let go and allowed it to take its time, it was done.

Isn’t life the same? No matter how much we push or rush things, they unfold at their own pace. And maybe that’s why people say, to “trust the timing”.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t put in the effort or do your best, but sometimes, you need to learn to wait, to give things the space to blossom.

So the next time you feel restless, waiting for something to happen, take a deep breath. Let things take their course. And maybe, while you wait, make yourself a cup of chai, you might just learn something in the process.
